Overview

Legal Aid Society (LAS) is seeking two motivated Programme Interns to support the implementation of REACH KP (Rights, Empowerment and Community-led Hubs) and the expansion of the Justice Hub model across Pakistan.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to gain hands-on experience in programme coordination, community engagement, donor-funded project implementation, digital communications, AI-enabled productivity tools, and justice-sector innovation while working alongside experienced development professionals.

Position summary

The Programme Intern will support the implementation of REACH KP and broader Justice Hub initiatives by assisting with programme coordination, research, documentation, stakeholder engagement, ERP data management, communications, and field activities.

Working under the supervision of the Project Coordinator – REACH KP & Justice Hubs, the intern will contribute to day-to-day programme operations while developing practical skills in project management, donor compliance, community mobilisation, digital technologies, and access-to-justice programming.

One internship position will primarily support programme operations, coordination, and data management, while the second will focus on communications, content development, design, and project visibility.

Key responsibilities

Programme Coordination & Administrative Support

  • Support implementation of REACH KP activities and project workplans.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, maintaining action trackers, and documenting meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate logistics for community consultations, FGDs, KIIs, stakeholder meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Maintain attendance records, activity reports, consent forms, and project documentation.
  • Follow up with consultants, partners, and team members on pending deliverables.
  • Assist in preparing progress reports, presentations, and internal briefing materials.

Justice Hub Development Support

  • Conduct desk research and compile information for Justice Hub expansion initiatives.
  • Assist in stakeholder mapping, institutional profiling, and service ecosystem research.
  • Support preparation of concept notes, donor briefs, and fundraising materials.
  • Maintain organized reference materials, SOPs, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate logistics for Justice Hub meetings, workshops, and advocacy engagements.

ERP, Data Management & Documentation

  • Support ERP data entry and maintenance of programme records.
  • Organize digital documentation using Google Drive and SharePoint.
  • Compile, clean, and organize project and survey data.
  • Assist with data validation and reporting activities.
  • Support MERL processes by maintaining accurate programme documentation.

Communications & Project Visibility

  • Draft project updates, newsletters, social media content, and success stories.
  • Design communication materials including brochures, banners, infographics, and social media graphics.
  • Maintain project photo and media archives.
  • Support content development aligned with LAS branding guidelines.
  • Coordinate with the Communications team for project visibility activities.

Community Engagement & Field Support

  • Assist with community mobilisation activities and field coordination.
  • Support training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
  • Prepare workshop materials and participant kits.
  • Maintain records and documentation of field activities.
  • Support logistics for programme implementation across target locations.

Technology & AI Support

  • Utilize AI tools to assist with report drafting, meeting summaries, documentation, and communications.
  • Support implementation of digital initiatives including the KP Justice Dashboard and WhatsApp Legal Bot.
  • Assist with testing digital tools and documenting user feedback.
  • Coordinate documentation and logistics for VR Justice Hub activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation and digital tools.

Requirements

Education

Fresh graduate or final-year student in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Law, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Urdu.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
  • Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent design skills (preferred).
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or equivalent (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of project coordination and community engagement.
  • Pashto language skills will be considered an advantage.
