Job Summary
ACT International is seeking a qualified and experienced Operations Coordinator for the School Meal Project. The position is responsible for managing and coordinating kitchen operations, supply chain activities, logistics, inventory management, and operational support functions to ensure smooth and uninterrupted implementation of the project.
The incumbent will work closely with procurement, warehouse, logistics, and kitchen teams to ensure timely availability, storage, distribution, and tracking of food commodities and operational materials while supporting overall operational efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate weekly and monthly operational and supply requirements for kitchen activities.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of food commodities, packaging materials, and operational consumables.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors for timely delivery of supplies and operational materials.
- Support day-to-day kitchen operations, workflow management, and operational coordination.
- Monitor storage, preparation, packing, dispatch, and distribution processes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Oversee stock management, inventory tracking, and physical verification of food and operational supplies.
- Ensure implementation of proper storage practices including hygiene, ventilation, FIFO/FEFO, and pest control measures.
- Coordinate loading, unloading, dispatch, and logistics operations related to meal distribution.
- Monitor maintenance and repair requirements of kitchen equipment and facilities and coordinate timely resolution.
- Maintain operational records, stock reports, logistics documentation, and supply chain reports.
- Identify operational gaps and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency and workflow.
- Coordinate with management, logistics teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders for smooth project implementation.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, warehouse, or inventory management.
- Experience working with NGOs/INGOs, food programs, humanitarian projects, or large-scale operational environments will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong operational coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain, inventory, and logistics management systems.
- Good reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple operational tasks under pressure.
- Strong coordination and team management abilities.
