Job Purpose: The Social Mobilizer will support community outreach, mobilization, and engagement to ensure participation in project activities.
Duration: 7 Months
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct community outreach and mobilization in target areas.
- Identify and engage community members, including women, youth, and local leaders.
- Support the formation and engagement of community groups and project beneficiaries.
- Facilitate community meetings, awareness sessions, and training activities.
- Coordinate with local stakeholders, including government departments, CSOs, and community representatives.
- Support implementation of community-based initiatives related to peacebuilding and environmental justice.
- Assist in organizing workshops, events, and field activities at the community level.
- Collect data through surveys, interviews, and field assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, participants, and feedback.
- Document success stories, case studies, and lessons learned from the field.
- Support monitoring and reporting of project activities.
- Ensure inclusion of women and marginalized groups in all activities.
- Promote awareness on environmental issues, rights, and community participation.
- Report field challenges and provide feedback for improving project implementation.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager for effective project delivery.
Key Deliverables
- Mobilized communities with verified participant lists (disaggregated by gender and location).
- Regular field activity reports documenting outreach, meetings, and training sessions.
- Community feedback and engagement records, including key issues and concerns raised.
- Documentation of awareness sessions, workshops, and community meetings.
- Basic data collection reports (surveys, attendance, and field observations).
- Success stories and case studies from the field.
- Coordination records with local stakeholders, including community leaders and government representatives.
- Monthly progress updates highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: FA/FSc. Bachelor’s degree will be preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in community mobilization, preferably in rights-based or gender-focused initiatives.
- Good communication skills in local languages; Pashto is preferred.
- Preference will be given to candidates from the local area.
