Job Purpose:
The Communications Officer will play a vital role in promoting the Partnerships for Change project’s initiatives, successes, and impact.The Communications Officer will develop and manage content, and support digital outreach activities, ensuring that project achievements in social cohesion, peacebuilding, and community resilience are effectively communicated to the public and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Produce high-quality content, including social media posts, press releases, newsletters, reports, and case studies that showcase project activities and impact.

Collaborate with trainers and community mobilizers to gather stories, testimonials, photosand video messages that highlight participant experiences and project successes.

Develop communication materials that support project activities, such as promotional material for training sessions, events, and the Social Lab initiatives.

Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with the project’s objectives in consultation with the donor.

Identify key messages and communication channels to engage target audiences,including community members, stakeholders, and media partners

Manage the project’s social media posts, ensuring regular and engaging updates on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Support the planning and promotion of key project events, such as the Social Lab launch, Pitch fest, Nation Insight Tour, graduation ceremony, and community feedback sessions.

Document events through photos, videos, and participant interviews, capturing highlights and outcomes for future reporting.

Coordinate with the project team to ensure consistent, accurate messaging in response to any emerging issues.

Actively monitor public sentiment on social media and community platforms, addressing questions or concerns to maintain a positive image of the project.

Work with the M&E Officer to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, using metrics such as audience reach, engagement, and feedback.
Qualifications and Experience:

Education:Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

Experience: At least 3 years of experience in communications, media relations, or digital marketing, ideally within development, community projects, or peacebuilding sectors.
Skills:
-
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging, professional content for diverse audiences.

Familiarity with media outreach practices, including press release writing and building media relations.

Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and social media management platforms.

Experience using digital tools to create visuals, graphics, and other multimedia content that enhances communication efforts

Photography and videography skills.

Familiarity with Swat District’s cultural context, with sensitivity to tailoring messages that resonate with local audiences.
Travel: Requires frequent field visits.
