Position Summary:

The Capacity-building officer under the supervision of Project Manager will be responsible to lead all training related capacity building activities with focus on resilience building and building sustainable livelihoods under the donor funded CBT project.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to the training team across all aspects of the training events organization (including but not limited to: training of trainers, communication with participants, resource packs preparation, and training materials dissemination)
  • Administer and consolidate training data and evaluations into report templates
  • Set up facilitation environments and provide technical support during trainings;
  • Maintain the records related to training like agenda, participants lists, reports etc.
  • Actively participate in trainings, including through role-plays and any other duties that arise on the ground;
  • Assist in the identification of and liaison with key stakeholders who can contribute to broadening and deepening the livelihoods agenda in the project;
  • Undertake field visits for specific data collection and/or implementation of program activities.
  • Initiate contacts with potential target communities and schools by visiting villages and meeting with residents, key persons (religious leaders, school teachers, etc.), existing Village Development Committees (VDCs), appointed representatives, focus groups (youth, women, elderly), and any other relevant person.
  • Set up criteria for the identification and selection of interventions for FFA participants for capacity building activities, including all types of training.
  • He/She shall be responsible for the development of training material, Community training plans and delivery of trainings in communities.
  • Address and solve problems that might arise between the community and Project teams, or among community members, during and because of the implementation of the project activities.
  • Assess and report on community needs with the rest of the team to achieve the objectives of project.
  • Incorporate participatory principles into community level to ensure emergency response activities.
  • Promote and motivate inclusive participation by villagers/ elders and community representatives in all project activities, taking care to assist cooperation with regard to gender, political, ethnic, and other factors.
  • Support and facilitate donor visits during the implementation of project, support and lead donor briefings with a special focus on capacity building activities and the impact the have created for the communities in which project is implemented.
  • Document success stories, case studies and other reporting documents as required by the project Manager.

 

Qualification & Experience:

  • University degree in Disaster Risk management, social sciences, or management sciences or related field.
  • At least 3-4 years’ experience working on training and resilience-building projects; experience on CBT projects is preferred.
  • Experience in the provision of administrative and logistical support and organization of workshops;
  • Experience in research, analysis, and report writing;
  • Experience in working with government officials and non-governmental organizations;
  • Demonstrated experience in working in complex working environments;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Access etc.) and experience in handling web-based applications

Note: Position is subject to approval of donor funding. As, we are looking for immediate hires, we will be reviewing candidates on a rolling basis
