2. General Position Summary

Based at Noshki, Balochistan Watchman works under the direct supervision of Logistics & Security Assistant. He/she has to ensure adequate safety of SIF staff, assets, and office premises.

He/she is:

-        Ensure adequate safety of SIF staff, assets, premises and vehicles.

-        Participate in the implementation of Security Guidelines and Watchman’s Regulation.

-        Support drivers and staff when loading and offloading vehicles if it does not impair safety measures.

-        Ensure any additional task requested by his/her supervisor if it does not impair safety measures.

-        Ensure the cleanliness of the compound.

The employee can also be requested to ensure other tasks upon request from his/her direct supervisor.

3. Essential Job Function

Objective 1: Security of the premises Activities:

-        Ensure security measures of office building (gates, doors and lights switched-off during the night)

-        Ensure adequate access control according to Guards Regulation, SIF rules and given instructions.

-        Ensure the security of the premises and employees by guardianship and not leaving the entrance empty

-        Ensure entrance to SIF is always locked/closed.

-        Give security alert in case of any emergency situation or direct threat by immediately reporting to Security Focal Person of his/her base location.

-        Ensure the security of the vehicles parked in/outside.

-        Responsible for the security of surroundings and immediately report any specific problem, information, risk, threat to the supervisor at the earliest.

-        Patrolling areas within SIF compound and performing security checks.

 

Objective 2: Security of SIF Assets/equipment Activities:

-        Ensure the office equipment’s (Official systems, furniture, gadgets) are properly safe and secured.

-        Inform Line manager in case of any Losses occurred to SIF Assets/Vehicle.

 

Objective 3: Access control Activities:

-        Ensure adequate access control according to Guards Regulation, SIF rules and given instructions.

-        Maintain In –Out register.

-        Checking with SIF staff before allowing any non-SIF person to cross the entrance gate.

-        Support drivers and staff when loading and offloading vehicles.

 

Objective 4: Tools management Activities:

-        Fill up the generator, the fuel pump, etc.; follow up on daily basis.

-        Manage inverters and battery service (If needed) .

-        Manage bicycles parking, keys, and regular check and maintenance of the bicycles.            

-        Report about any technical problem of equipment to the logistic team.    

-        Start and stop the generator, fuel pomp, etc. (if needed, and according to schedules)            

-        Check fuel, engine oil level, refill before start of generator. Refill if needed.

 

 Objective 5: Recording Sealed Quotation Activities:

-        Maintaining proper track Record of letter/quotation/envelop received at office compound in a register.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in NGO/INGO with expertise in security.

 

 

Languages             

Basic understanding of  Urdu, English. Local Language is a plus.

 

 

Knowledge

Effective under pressure, results oriented and proactive with the ability to multi-task.

Good Interpersonal communication.

 

 

Supervisory Resposibiity: Logistic Officer/Assistant

  • Reports Directly To : Logistics Assistant/ Officer
  • Works Directly With: Technical Supervisor
