Core Objectives of the Female Education Specialist Position:

 1. Provide on the job training to teachers and education staff .

 2. Review and refine the teaching methodologies to ensure child-cantered, inclusive, activity based and joyful learning practices.

 3. Develop and implement teacher training programs to enhance their pedagogical skills in multi-grade teaching, assessment and student learning outcome.

 4. Ensure that the ALP curriculum/packages are aligned with government and donor requirements.

 5. Establish coordination with the KP Elementary and Secondary Education Department, Directorate of Professional Development (DPD) and ALP PIU to support the primary and secondary education.

 6. Develop strategy/plan for conducting exams/assessments of the Refugee Village schools and ALP Centres.

 7. Identify training needs assessment and conduct capacity-building sessions for teachers and education facilitators.

 8. Support the development of lesson plans, teaching aids, and learning assessment tools.

Required Qualifications

Education:

                     16 years of Education with M.Ed.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of NGO sector experience with 2-3 Experience in education program both formal and non-formal (Accelerated Learning Program) in Afghan Refugee communities.
• Demonstrated experience in teacher trainings, assessment and strong training skills.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of formal and non-formal education systems, including ALP.
• Proficiency in child-centered and inclusive teaching methodologies.
• Proficiency in development of lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessment tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in Pashto and Urdu; knowledge of English is an asset.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel extensively to program refugee villages.
• Strong commitment to working with Afghan refugee communities and promoting inclusive education.
