The Assistant Manager MEAL will support the design, implementation, and strengthening of monitoring and evaluation systems to assess the effectiveness and impact of our education programs. The role will be central to generating evidence, enabling data-driven decision-making, and ensuring accountability towards achieving our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring & Evaluation Framework Development:
- Support the development and implementation of robust M&E frameworks, including indicators, tools, and processes aligned with program objectives.
- Assist in setting up data collection mechanisms and systems for real-time monitoring.
2. Data Collection & Management:
- Coordinate and supervise field-level data collection activities.
- Ensure data quality through regular audits, validation, and verification processes.
- Manage program databases, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and maintenance.
3. Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to assess program performance and outcomes.
- Prepare periodic M&E reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support reporting for donor requirements, government partners, and board-level updates.
4. Evaluation & Learning:
- Assist in designing and conducting evaluations, baseline studies, and impact assessments.
- Document learnings, success stories, case studies, and best practices to inform program strategy and improvement.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and program reviews.
5. Accountability & Feedback Mechanisms:
- Establish and manage community response mechanisms (CRM) to ensure accountability to beneficiaries.
- Track, analyze, and report on feedback trends to inform management decisions and program design.
- Ensure confidentiality and ethical handling of complaints and sensitive information.
- Conduct periodic beneficiary satisfaction surveys.
5. Capacity Building:
- Train and build the capacity of program and field staff on M&E tools, methodologies, and systems.
- Support in fostering a culture of data-driven learning and continuous improvement within the organization.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's/master’s degree in education, Development Studies, Statistics, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–6 years of relevant experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, preferably in the education or development sector.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, STATA, Power BI, or other relevant software).
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (knowledge of local languages is a plus).
- Familiarity with education systems, especially government schools, will be an added advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
